Tachibana takes its name from an evergreen tree with brightly colored citrus fruit. From the perspective of the central province of Yamato, it was also viewed as an auspicious location by an alternate reading, Himuka is where the sun (日) travels (向かう) west from Yamato. Himuka (日向) represents present-day Miyazaki Prefecture, facing (向かう) the bounty of the sun (日) on its eastern Nichinan Coast by the waters of the Pacific Ocean. In ancient Japan, place names conveyed the characteristics of the land. These three are considered the most important of Izanagi’s offspring. As he washes his face, three deities appear: the sun goddess Amaterasu when he pours water on his left eye, the moon god Tsukuyomi when he does so on his right eye, and Susanoo when he does so on his nose. When he returns to our world (Ashihara no Nakatsukuni), he ritually purifies himself at the river mouth of Tachibana in Himuka. Terrified, Izanagi flees from Yomi, shaking off several pursuers. Izanami tells him he should not look at her, but he does not follow her words and discovers that she has become a rotting corpse covered in maggots. Grieving and alone, Izanagi seeks her out in Yomi, the realm of the dead. In giving birth to the fire deity Kagutsuchi, however, she burns her genitals and dies of her injuries. Izanami goes on to give birth to a host of deities of natural phenomena like the sea, mountains, grass, and wind, as well as those of ships and food. So if you have a question, just ask me.In the legendary account of Kojiki ( Record of Ancient Matters), the god Izanagi and goddess Izanami create the islands of Japan. It was a lot of work and since the writing of this wasn't particularly planed, I hope I didn't miss anything. So, only by their Names and the quote on Pneuma's chest, it is teased how both of them are going to end.Īnway, I hope someone actually read this far and thought this to be interesting. And the following verse in the bible, is about darkness, Malos' element. The quote on Pneuma's chest is about the light, which is her element.

And if you're not completely convinced, that this refers to Malos, think about it. All he wanted to know was, whether his decisions were actually his or the ones of his driver. Malos however didn't follow his father, he tried to destroy everything and died in the end. And in the end, she is the one, who caused the architect to have a change of mind and she was told how everything was created and received access to the entire world tree.
#The blade goddess chronicles origins full
It says that Pneuma is righteous and follows her fathers teachings, and will live in the sunlight, till the full light of day, which is supposed to mean knowledge. Those lines refer to Pneuma/Pyra and Logos/Malos. They do not know what makes them stumble." "But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness If we continue reading, we see that this is a warning from a father to his sons, to follow his teachings. This is a quote from the Bible, Proverb 4, 18. Shining ever brighter till the full light of day." " The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, "iustorum autem semita quasi lux splendens procedit et crescit usque ad perfectam diem" The first time, we actually see Pneuma is when Rex is fighting Jin and Malos, trying to get Pyra back, who then transforms into Pneuma.īut if you look closely, you'll see that there is something else. Ontos is god or the father, Pneuma is the holy spirit, and Logos is the son or Jesus. And there we have his connection to the christian trinity. Pneuma, in her final form, is able to alter reality itself, thanks to the power of the Conduit, a meta-universe manifold, which is basically the connection between all existing realities, it appears that this is the power of the Aegisses, and while Pneuma and Logos, who kind of represent different parts of god, being the holy spirit and Jesus, exist in one reality, Ontos is in a different one, with his name literally meaning reality, which would make him a god in this world, since his power isn't rivaled by a different Aegis. The third Aegis is neither connected to the Trinity Processor, nor to christianity.

This means, that the two Aegisses, who exist in this reality are connected to the Trinity Processor and thereby to christianity. There is a fan theory that he is a certain character from Xenoblade Chronicles 1, but I'm not going into this, because it's irrelevant.
